Hey there! I’m Sandra Halling.

I have 20+ years of experience as a subject matter expert on Deltek Vision CRM & Proposal Modules.

Deltek Vision is a SQL-based enterprise resource planning system – most common in the A/E/C industry.

If you're from a different industry, you've probably never heard of it and that's okay because it was designed when dinosaurs roamed the earth. 🦕

For architecture and engineering firms, it has close to market saturation despite the fact that it's functionally confusing, has frustrating support, and... it's u-g-l-y. (Who in their right mind sells ugly software to an architect?!)

Here's the deal... I can be your favorite systems nerd because I won't speak in tongues... unless it's really important we're using the same words to mean the same things!

Below you can read more about my background, how I like to work, and what I can do to help you implement better systems to create more profit.

I'm a delight.

I not joking and this is not a digression.

You're not going to find another systems consultant who's as personable, agile, and has the depth and diversity of experience that I do, period.

Will I be a pain in your backside and expect we do things well?

Yes, I will hold you to a high standard, and that's what you're hiring me for. You don't do shoddy design work and I don't like doing craptastic system builds.

I'm expert, highly skilled, adaptable, and I partner with clients to solve problems. If you're looking for a pair of hands to take orders, that's not me. #SorryNotSorry

Facts About Sandra

I'm (clinically) diagnosed as ADHD and (self) diagnosed as autistic.

And yes, I do love trains. But if I didn't tell you about my diagnosises, you'd never know.

You'd probably just think I was smart and a little quirky, with a comically accurate memory.

Why tell you at all?

First, I desire transparency.

But more over, neurodivergence is hugely misunderstood, and the lack of empathy and accommodations causes an enormous amount of harm in the workplace. (I do advocacy work on this, which you can read more about on my personal website.)

Secondly, I sometimes do need accommodations.

Meetings and communication can be exhausting at times, and it takes me away from doing what you're paying me to do – build you a system that works and is easy to use.

When it is time to do the focused work of building your system, what puts me in a place to do my best work is your trust and a fair bit of space to do what I do best.

That is to say, we're not meeting on Zoom just because it makes you feel warm and fuzzy. We meet to serve the scope of the project.

If you're in an organization that does creative or technical work, the odds are high that fair number of people on your team or within your organization are neurodivergent.

How is your organization supporting their neurodivergent employees?

If not, I encourage you to book a friendly chat to talk about that, because there are things you can do to improve your well-being, and being witnessed in your own experience is transformative and powerful.

Most women will experience symptoms of perimenopause that impact their productivity at work.

Did you know more women die by suicide between 45-60 than during any other age bracket?

Perimenopause isn't small potatoes or something to dismiss. It's a debilitating health crisis that wrecks havoc on the lives of women in their 40s and 50s. Autism has an extremely high rate of suicidality too.

So, whether you know it or not, you are swimming in this water already.

I'm curious to hear what your organization does to support women during this season of life – when they ought to be at the top of the ranks and mentoring the next generation.
